nielsenWith the race for the White House coming to an end, the quest for information is higher than normal. Radio’s News/Talk format is receiving constant traffic in the people’s last efforts to gain knowledge on the candidates and where they stand in the election. According to Nielsen, the October ratings for News/Talk radio stations are increasing tremendously. The share of audience is up by a full 1% since June and July, coming in at 9.9%. although higher ratings are expected prior to such a large election, Nielsen still takes note that the 25-54 audience of News/Talk reached its highest point in October than it has in over three years, coming in higher than Country music stations, Hot Adult Contemporary and Adult Contemporary.
