South Carolina radio personality selected from a nationwide field of applicants to attend the industry event in Cleveland, Ohio
(July 7, 2026) – Throwback Brands, through its syndication partner Skyview Networks, announced today that Kaylin Mozdzen, an on-air personality at B106.7 (WTCB-FM) in Columbia, South Carolina, has been named the grand prize winner of the “Throwback Brands Boot Camp Experience” scholarship. The fully-funded experience gives Mozdzen an opportunity to attend the Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC) in Cleveland, Ohio for the first time, where she will spend several days learning from veteran broadcasters and building relationships with peers from across the country.
Now in its second year, the scholarship was created by Throwback Brands to open the doors of Morning Show Boot Camp to a deserving industry professional, student or content creator who has not previously attended. Applicants submitted entries detailing their career journeys, on-air work and reasons for wanting to attend, and finalists were reviewed by the Throwback Brands team before Mozdzen was selected as this year’s winner.
“Kaylin’s drive is one of a kind. From the moment we read her application, it was clear: she has the vision, passion and energy to help drive our business forward,” said Tony Lorino, CEO and Founder of Throwback Brands and host of Throwback Nation Radio. “With this opportunity, I’m hopeful she can bring this enthusiasm back to Columbia and B106.7 and continue to make top-notch content and contributions to her station and community.”
Mozdzen shared her excitement about the opportunity stating, “I’ve always believed that growth comes from learning and challenging yourself regularly, so Morning Show Boot Camp has been on my list for years. Unfortunately, something always seemed to get in the way of attending. That’s why I’m incredibly grateful to finally have the opportunity to be there this year. A huge thank you to the team at Throwback Brands for believing in me and making this experience possible. I can’t wait to learn, connect with some of the best in the industry and bring those ideas back to my audience.”
Mozdzen follows in the footsteps of last year’s inaugural scholarship winner, Tonya Haze of WGLX-FM, who described the experience as an opportunity to learn from radio professionals and bring that energy back to her own audience. Mozdzen will attend this year’s event alongside Lorino and fellow Throwback Brands talent Chris Cruise and Joe Cortese, and will have the opportunity to network with MSBC attendees from across the country.
Morning Show Boot Camp is widely regarded within the radio industry as an opportunity for hands-on learning, mentorship and networking, drawing on-air talent, programmers and content creators from markets nationwide each year to sharpen their craft and connect with peers.
